In our times, the cycle was learned in three stages

In our times, the cycle was learned in three stages

Step 1 - Scissors

Step II - Danda

Step III - Gaddi

At that time it was not so easy to ride a bicycle because then father or uncle used to ride a bicycle in the house.

At that time the height of the bicycle used to be 24 inches, which was equal to our shoulder when standing, it was not possible to ride a seat with such a bicycle.

"Scissors" used to be the art where we used to enter between the triangles made in the frame of the bicycle and keep both the feet on both the pedals.

And when we used to ride like this, we used to straighten our chest and take out our face from behind the handle, and used to ring the bell by saying "clean clean" so that people can see the garden that the boy is riding a bicycle.

Today's generation is bereft of this "adventure". They don't know that riding a 24 inch bicycle at the age of eight to ten years was like flying a "ship".

Don't know how many times we have broken our knees and mouth and the amazing thing is that there was no pain then, after falling we used to stand silently wiping our half briefs looking all around.

Now technology has made a lot of progress, children start riding cycles as soon as they are five years old, that too without falling. Cycles of two feet have arrived, and the children of the rich now drive straight, small bikes are available in the market.

But today's children will never understand that balancing on a big bicycle at that young age was the first lesson in life! There used to be the first episode of "Responsibilities" where you were given the responsibility that you are now capable of grinding wheat.

Ride your bicycle from here to the mill and come back home using scissors from there!

And believe me, there was immense happiness in fulfilling this responsibility.

And it is also true that after us the "scissors" practice became extinct.

We are the last generation in the world who learned to ride a bicycle in three steps!

● We are that last generation, who many times sat in mud houses and listened to stories of fairies and kings, ate food sitting on the ground, drank tea in a plate.

● We are the last people, who have played traditional games like gilli-danda, hide-and-seek, kho-kho, kabaddi, marbles with our friends in the fields of the locality.

● We are the last generation who have done homework and read novels in dim or yellow light of bulb.

● We are the people of the same generation, who have exchanged their feelings for their loved ones in letters.

● We are the last generation who have lived their childhood without cooler, AC or heater.

● We are the last people who used to go to school and weddings with lots of mustard oil applied in their short hair.

● We are those last generation people, who have made copies, books, clothes and hands black and blue with ink feast or pen.

● We are the last people who have been beaten up by the teachers.

● We are the last people, who used to come home after seeing the elders of the locality from a distance, running away from every nook and corner.

● We are the last people who have made shave by applying soap from Godrej soap round box. Those who have drunk jaggery tea. For a long time, black or red tooth paste or white tooth powder has been used in the morning.

● We are definitely the last people who listen to programs like BBC news, Vividh Bharti, All India Radio and Binaka on radio in moonlit nights.

● We are the last people, when all of us used to sprinkle water on the terrace in the evening. After that he used to sleep by spreading white sheets. A stand fan used to provide air to everyone. Even after the sun rose in the morning, he continued to sleep being impudent. All those times have passed. She doesn't spread the sheets anymore. Coolers in box-like rooms, nights pass in front of ACs, days pass by.

● We are the people of the last generation, who have seen those beautiful relationships and the people who shared their sweetness, which kept decreasing continuously. Now the more people read and write, the more they are getting lost in selfishness, indecision, uncertainty, loneliness, and despair. We are the lucky ones, who have felt the sweetness of relationships!!

We are the only generation who obeyed their parents and are also obeying their children.
